Case Study-3AM Melbourne x Virus Sound System - Comeback Party
3AM Melbourne and Virus Sound System returned to turn up the heat for a massive underground park party to the theme of Old Skool VS New Skool. It was a hectic event, with nearly 1000 attendees total and I was tasked with providing photo and video coverage, capturing the night in a way that would play into the theme and create lasting memories. I used my ultrawide lens to create engaging, fun and distorted portraits of attendees, reminiscent of 1990s album covers or skate videos. I used the same lens to create sweeping crowd shots, fun photos of DJs and candid moments of connection and revelry.
Case Study-Nerve Melbourne
Nerve is one of Melbourne's best nightclub, pulsating music, moody and engaging lighting and visuals and a packed dancefloor from open till close make it an exciting place to shoot. But it's not without its challenges. The dark atmosphere, smoke and complex lighting can make photographing a challenge, as a professional, I always ensure I am using the best tools for the job to ensure I can work within these conditions. The packed nature of the club can make it difficult to get around, so instead, I got closer. Using an ultrawide zoom lens and a classic 50mm, I was able to take energetic and exciting photos of the crowd and artists.
Case Study-Homebass Australia Tour 2025-Melbourne Night One
Homebass is an travelling music event bringing drum and bass sounds globally through underground tours. Their return to Australia was set to be massive, with their first Melbourne show being an instant sellout. Held in a secret location in Melbourne, Homebass presented tough shooting conditions, smoke filled and packed to the rafters. I was tasked with capturing the chaos of the event and documenting the magic. I focused on the attendees, capturing candid moments and portraits.
